Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it serve and how you'll be able to use the information you will find inside it.
An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files which were accessed by the guests of a certain Internet site. Any file that was requested in some way shall be listed, so if you have only one webpage with 3 embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for every of the six files that were accessed when the website visitor opened the page. A log typically offers the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Sometimes you may also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your Internet site. The data an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to prepare reports on the functionality of a site, in addition to the web statistics which your server may have produced.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
If you buy a cloud hosting from us, you will be able to choose if access logs have to be produced and for which domains or subdomains inside your account this must be done. You could activate this function from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, incorporated with all shared accounts. Each and every domain name you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you'll see an On/Off option next to each and every one of them, so you can effortlessly trigger or disable the generation of access logs separately for each site that you have. You may save a log to your laptop or computer by clicking on the Download link that you'll see in the same section of the Control Panel. The link shall be available even if you disable the log generation, so you will still have access to the data collected by our system.
